Michalis N. Khalil, MPsychSc, MSc, MBPsS
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Reg. No. 552)
I have gained my occupational license in clinical psychology since 2018 and I am in private practice since then.
My clinical focus is on anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychological trauma. My research interests revolve around mental resiliency, psychological trauma, creativity, stoicism, and existential therapy.
My main theoretical mode of psychotherapy is existential and humanistic at its core following a more synthetic and holistic approach by using techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. My main concern is to create a good therapeutic relationship/alliance with my client to work together to the issues that cause distress and dysfunction in their everyday life.
I am dedicated in my profession as a psychologist and, therefore, strive to update my knowledge and skills by following specialized courses. I am also dedicated on completing my doctorate in Counselling Psychology with the focus on Existential Psychotherapy in the New School of Counselling and Psychotherapy (London, UK).
